A Global Anthem for Change
Suubi is more than just a song—it’s a testament to the power of music to unite, inspire action, and highlight sustainability as a shared responsibility. By bridging continents, KRUNK Movement and Kichwamba High School have shown that creativity can drive real change.

KRUNK Movement and Kichwamba High School Unite for Global Sustainability Through Music
Suubi was brought to life through the passion and dedication of young artists, producers, and educators from both Pittsburgh and Uganda. With local producers and engineers from Kichwamba High School and the surrounding community, the song became more than just a musical composition—it became a symbol of cross-cultural solidarity.

How It All Began
This collaboration stems from KRUNK Movement’s 2023 partnership with the Green Building Alliance (GBA), integrating music and environmental advocacy. Inspired by the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, KRUNK artists used hip-hop, jazz, and spoken word to address climate change and social sustainability. The project expanded when Dr. Thomas RaShad Easley, a nationally recognized hip-hop artist and environmental advocate, introduced KRUNK to Jennifer Verdolin, ultimately leading to the connection with Kichwamba High School.
Through this partnership, young creatives from Pittsburgh and Uganda are using their voices to advocate for a greener, more just world.
