Hazelwood Family Festival A Success

The Hazelwood Family Festival gave the community a fun way to kick off the summer, complete with music, food, a raffle, and a resource fair.

The Hazelwood Family Festival was held on May 20 at the former Gladstone Middle School and coincided with the grand opening of the "I Lived. We Live. What Did We Miss?" exhibit. The festival provided entertainment and education for the whole family, featuring food from Fat Rai's, a resource fair of local service organizations, a bouncy castle, Uber self-driving cars, and a raffle. Music performances went on throughout the event with acts such as Center of Life's The KRUNK Movement,  Jazz Ensemble, and Bucket Band, as well as outside performers like KUUMBA Inc., Youth Express, and New York-based band Freelance. The festival was made possible with help from Remake Learning and Public Allies Pittsburgh
