I Lived. We Live. What Did We Miss?
Center of Life's new exhibit honors the lives of youth lost to street violence, and gives the Hazelwood community an opportunity to envision its future.
Center of Life's new exhibit "I Lived, We Live, What Did We Miss?" is now open to the public. The exhibit gives a voice to families who have lost their children to street violence in Hazelwood and shows the collective impact of that loss through interactive and heartfelt displays. To give context to this topic, it also discusses the history of Hazelwood, the typical depiction of Hazelwood in the press, and new directions for the Hazelwood community in the future. This project is made possible through a collaboration between Center of Life and Carnegie Mellon University's School of Design, Charlie Humphrey, Andi Fischhoff, the Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh, and Community Day School. Open hours are 9am - 5pm Mondays through Thursdays and 9am - 3pm on Fridays.
